Five ladies spotted riding one tiny bike in China Surveillance footage had emerged showing five ladies riding one tiny bike on a busy road in China's Southwest Guizhou province. The group of five can be seen speeding towards oncoming traffic before heading through rural roads. The ladies were found and stopped by police who gave them a warning. According to officers, four of the five girls are all just 15-years-old. Officers gave them a verbal warning and say that they warned them of the dangers of driving in such a dangerous fashion. It is not the first of such incidents in China. In April this year, a man had his motorbike confiscated by police when he was spotted carrying his wife and four children on his motorbike after he and his wife picked them up from school. Senate passes law enforcing the purchase of made-in-Nigeria goods The senate at its plenary today passed into law the Public Procurement Act 20‎07 (amendment) bill 2016, which among other things compels government in all the three tiers, to purchase made-in-Nigeria goods. Speaking after the passage of the bill, senate President, Bukola Saraki, said "In stimulating our economy, we all have a role to play to ensure that the executive complies especially in the area of giving first priority to locally-produced goods. Dasuki to approach Supreme Court to challenge his continued detention despite meeting his bail conditions Embattled former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, is set to file a lawsuit before the Supreme court challenging his continued detention by the Department of State Security DSS despite meeting his bail conditions. Dasuki is being tried for unlawful possession of arms, money laundering and alleged involvement in the $2.1 billion arms deal scandal. Dasuki's counsel, Ahmed Raji, indicated his next move after the Court of Appeal in in Abuja yesterday ruled against his application to be released from DSS custody. Three different High Courts in Abuja have granted him bail and after meeting the conditions of the bail, he was re-arrested on December 29th by operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS) on an alleged order of the federal government.
