Father of notorious billionaire kidnapper, Evans, lives in poverty, says his wife misled their son The father of the recently arrested billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudi "Evans" Dumeme Onwuamadike, said he lives in poverty and had no idea his son had come into wealth acquired illegally. He said the last time he saw his son was in 2008 at which time he advised him to desist from illegal means of acquiring wealth. Evans' father, Mr. Stephen Onwuamadike, said it was Evans' mother who misled him and that she had been manipulating him since he was three-years-old. He also said he used to be very wealthy but Evans' mother led to his downfall and she left him with nothing. His current wife and her son also accused Evans' mother of being the person behind Evans' predicament. They painted Evans as a good and loving son who was only under the influence of his mother. Kano Police Commissioner assures Igbo residents of adequate protection The Police Commissioner in Kano State, Mr Rabi’u Yusuf, has assured Igbo residents in the state of adequate protection of their lives and property. In a statement released in Kano on Tuesday by DSP Magaji Majiya, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state. Psychiatric test for traffic law offenders begin July 1 – FRSC The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has said that it will resume enforcement of psychiatric tests on traffic law offenders in the country with effect from July 1 . According to Bisi Kazeem, FRSC 's Corps Public Education Officer, in a press release in Abuja today , Corps Marshal, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi, stated this at the opening of a five-day training programme for 22 FRSC officials on traffic safety for non-motorised transportation (NMT) in Abuja on Monday . Oyeyemi said the test would focus on four areas of violations namely, use of phone while driving, traffic light and route violations as well as dangerous driving. Phyno forced to share screenshots proving he rightfully got the song, 'I'm a fan' after the songwriter claimed otherwise The drama surrounding Phyno's song, 'I am a fan' is far from over. The whole drama started in May after an American singer, Pia Mia released her single, I'm a fan ft Jeremih which sounded almost exactly alike with Phyno's version of the same song which he released in 2016. Donald Trump tweets after losing travel ban ruling again in Appeals Court US President, Donald Trump has taken to twitter to react after the Ninth Circuit sitting in San Francisco has ruled against his revised travel ban, temporarily restricting travel from six Muslim-majority countries. The administration has already sought a Supreme Court review of a similar decision issued last month by the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, in Richmond Trump has insisted that the measure is necessary to prevent possible terrorist attacks and protect national security. In its opinion, the Ninth Circuit said it concluded that Trump "exceeded the scope of the authority delegated to him by Congress." South African actor, Christopher 'Gunman' Kubheka found dead at his home Christopher Jabu Kubheka, popularly known as 'Gunman' on South African drama series 'Yizo Yizo' was on Monday afternoon found dead in his home in Soshanguve, Pretoria. Jabu's manager Thabo Makgaretsa confirmed the sad news to TshisaLIVE, saying Jabu's wife found his unresponsive body in their family home and called for help. Police spokesperson, Captain Mavela Masondo, also confirmed reports that the actor was found hanging from a butler door in his home According to Masondo, his wife found his body hanging from the door at around 16:30 . Man who poses as a student to defraud people on twitter apologizes after he was exposed A few weeks ago, twitter user @samuel_face2 toook to his timeline to appeal to Nigerians to help him raise money to pay for his school fees. Sympathetic Nigerians reached out to him, asked for his account number and then sent him some money. However after receiving the money, he would block his donors and refuse to correspond with them further. He would also slide into peoples DM to ask them for money. He then blocks whoevers turns him down as well as those who obliged him by sending some money. Apparently he came online recently with a different handle to still ask for donations for his school fees.
