Photos: Young boy beaten and stripped naked for stealing a phone in Benin city This young boy was stripped naked and paraded after he allegedly stole a phone from a lady inside her shop in Benin City Edo state today June 1st. According to eyewitnesses, he got into the woman's shop, disguising as a customer but stole the phone after he succeeded in distracting the owner of the shop. Unknown to him, someone from the other side of the road was watching as he put the stolen phone in his pocket. That person immediately crossed to the shop and asked him to hand over the phone he just stole. They beat him up and then removed all his clothes. More photos after the cut.

Knife attacker who stabbed 7 people in Russian shot dead by police  Seven people were wounded in a knife attack in the Russian city of Surgut and the man, who apparently stabbed passers-by on the street at random, was shot dead by police. State-owned RIA Novosti news agency reports that the injured people have been taken to hospital, where two are in a critical condition. Russia's Investigations Committee said it had identified the attacker and was checking his psychological history. The attacker was a local resident born in 1994. So far, no motive has been established yet.
